UK Status Local. S, (SW),C. Montgomeryshire Status Resident. A local species first recorded in 2012 at Middletown in the north-east of the county. This was only the seventh record for north Wales. Wingspan : M & F, 31-40mm. Confusion species Brown Scallop. |

  Habitat Grassy and open places especially woodland rides and clearings with thick vegetation. Foodplant Buckthorn and alder buckthorn. Lifestage data Overwinters as an egg. Larva late April-early June. |
